Map Facilitation
MAP is run entirely by volunteers, If you are interested in helping to run and grow MAP and be a part of the MAP family, you can sign up for a specific type of work or contact us with a suggestion about how you would like to collaborate with us.
For new projects. We won't start up the project until we have enough people and resources to make it happen right.
We are currently looking for people to help with:
MAP in general
Email responders: Respond to incoming mail and clear the inbox. Forward messages to the appropriate folks or take action and log the information on a group time sheet. This position takes about 1 hr once a week.
General Support with MAP: below, you sign up with MAP to help in whatever way you think is best.
Music for Peace Project
Help us grow the music for peace project.
- Researchers: Find performances taking place during the week of March 30-April 1 and write the peroformers to see if they'll join the M4PP. Also offer them the MAP web banner
- Research other nonprofit, activist groups that might collaborate with MAP to spread the word about the music for peace project and our web banner.
Grants for MAP:
Help us raise money by identifying and writing grants to support MAP and it's projects. We've identified a number of possible grants so any support in the writing category would be a HUGE help!
Emergency Response Team
We are looking for an organizer to develop a web based emergency response program for MAP. When disasters occur, this team would write timely letters to MAP membership to encourage benefit concerts and letter writing.

The M4P CD
A compilation CD representing participants of the Music for Peace Project from around the globe that will serve to further connect our global community. This compilation CD will be made available to all participants for the Music For Peace Project 2007 (March 31 - April 2) at a discounted price (only to cover production costs) so that participants can sell the CD at their Music For Peace concerts and donate the proceeds to the charity of their choice. The CD will also be made available for purchase on our website. All proceeds from these sales will be put toward defraying the costs of organizing the Music for Peace Project. Each artist selected for the compilation will receive a copy of the compilation for free.
